Can I rent out or sublet the property?

Subletting may be permitted under your Ijara arrangement. Confirm that the permission applies to your program and property before relying on it. Local ordinances and any homeowners association or other applicable property rules may limit whether and how you can rent it out.

Before signing a tenant’s lease, confirm with your processing team that your intended use is consistent with your financing arrangement. Explain whether you plan to rent the whole property or part of it, and the intended lease length.

The general permission to sublet does not establish that every short-term, furnished or other rental arrangement is allowed. Check the proposed tenancy against your program, property rules and local requirements before proceeding.
