Applies to: United States and Canada.
For a US home or auto account, or a Canadian home account, request a collection change through Customer Care. Specify whether you need a one-time change or a new recurring arrangement, and which payment month it should start.
For a date change, have your preferred date ready. The date money leaves your bank and the date the investor receives it are separate. A proposed date must allow for the payment steps that apply to your account; a lender's grace period does not confirm that the same date is available for collection.
For an amount change, explain the reason, such as a Canadian renewal notice, a revised US escrow payment or a request for additional principal. Ask how to provide any supporting notice securely. A request to collect a different amount does not itself change what is due.
Before relying on the change, request written confirmation of:
- The agreed collection date and amount.
- The first payment affected.
- Whether the change is one-time or recurring, and what follows a one-time change.
If a withdrawal has already occurred on an unexpected date or for an unexpected amount, ask for that transaction to be reviewed separately.
