Applies to: United States.
For a U.S. transaction, closing costs vary with the property location, investor and services involved. Ask for an itemized estimate after the team has a complete application. A single lender fee is not the total closing cost.
The estimate may include title services, appraisal, taxes, insurance and investor fees. Ijara does not mark up the investor and third-party charges described in its estimate; ask the team to identify every charge and who receives it, including any separate Ijara charge.
How should I compare a promotional offer?
An offer to cover initial payments or closing costs can affect the rate or other costs. Ask for the full terms of the offer and compare the rate, payments and itemized costs together. Request clarification of any credit, what it pays for, and any conditions attached to it.
If two estimates look different, have the team explain which charges differ and why. This is more useful than comparing one advertised fee or credit in isolation.
