No. Ijara CDC is a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit structuring company, rather than a bank, lender or broker. Our role is to provide the Islamic structure and facilitate the execution of the related contracts.
The financing comes from investors or financial institutions. Those providers handle the origination of the financing, while Ijara handles its structuring role. This is why a transaction can involve both Ijara agreements and paperwork from a funding institution.
What does that mean for my application?
Your available program, qualification requirements and financing terms are connected to the applicable funding provider. Ask your processing team which provider and program apply to your proposed transaction, and which questions should be directed to that provider or to Ijara.
Our U.S. non-profit status describes Ijara CDC. It does not mean that a financing arrangement has no fees or that every applicant receives the same terms.
